The report of the mission 59 gives lost 6 B-17. The tables of losses above gathering 6 B-17 are complete.
To note that the hour of bombardment given by the report of the USAAF is very coherent (13.29 - 13.33) with hour declared by KNOKE for its victory (13.40) that is after phase of bombardment.
The falling point indicated by KNOKE is in lands: Ost S/TU-3 is a square angles of which are bounded by Husum, Husby, Stelle, Bargstatt. This square is situated well on a route of return since the target Kiel. At the moment this pushes aside planes fallen in sea or except this square.
The falling point of B-17 41-24590 is unknown ...
That of the B-17 41-24483 (fjord) correspond nothing. The contents of the MACR 15632 could maybe clarify if it is about a typing error...

For information :

Extracted of : Steve Perri - 91st BG Stories.htm 323rd BS B-17 Delta Rebel #2
"Although the 323rd was "stood down" that day, Perri and a navigator as replacement crewmen, earned the distinction of beating their squadron-mates into battle. Perri completed 25 missions as a ball turret gunner and 23 of those were made in the Delta Rebel #2 piloted by Lt. Birdsong. During his tour, he was officially credited with four enemy aircraft destroyed including two Me-109's an Me-110 and an FW-190. "I actually claimed seven but four of them were confirmed." For his contributions he received the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters and a Distinguished Flying Cross... ...Unit records show that he got his first kill, an FW-190 on December 30, 1942 on a mission to bomb the submarine pens at Lorient, France. His third and fourth kills were Me-109s on April 18th-Bremen and May 19th-Keil respectively.

Mention of Rendsbürg in Heinz Knoke is very important because north-east from this town there's a fjord named
Rendsbürg-Eckemförde
